Joint Stock Companies

Capital is divided into equal shares that can be traded. Shareholders’ liability is limited to the value of their shares.

Limited Liability Company (LLC)

Partners' liability is limited to their contributions. Shares are not publicly traded, but they can be transferred by agreement.

Partnership Company

Partners share full liability for the company’s debts and are involved in its management, profits, and losses.

Simple Commandite Company (Limited Partnership)

Includes general partners with full liability and limited partners whose liability is limited to their contributions.

Holding Company

A company that controls other companies by owning a majority of their shares, primarily managing its investments.

Foreign Companies

Companies established outside Iraq but conducting business within the country, required to register their branches locally.

Civil Companies

Formed for non-commercial purposes like professional services, not aiming for profit like commercial companies.

Mixed Companies

Partially owned by the government and private individuals, usually created for large projects needing public-private collaboration.

Cooperative Companies
